'Hatta'

I bought this conker coloured leather wallet in France at a Brocante a couple of years ago. Although it's at least 80years old it is in perfect vintage condition ie one can see that it HAS been used. It satisfyingly snaps shut perfectly well & the hinges to the back are completely intact. Slight wearing to the leather veneered tin frame on the inside but again there is no breakage & no tears whatsover. The leather has no tear damage including to the inner  pockets.This little gem has years left to play!
The insignia is silver with entwined letters 'B' and 'M' ...Be Mad? ...Believe in Mad? ..Mad Boy/Broad!? Obviously if your name is Marmaduke Bottomthwaite or Myrtle Braintube  this dandy thing WOULD be a grand find wouldn't it?!
I've printed an image of one of my paintings 'The Hatta'  & embellished it with old chain & thickly glazed it so as it will NOT budge & can prepare for a life of battering usage! Could also be used as a cigarette case as it has good depth.
I decided not to go overbored with the altering side of things as it IS such a nice wallet & the leather has beautifully mellowed over time.
